We got a third row vehicle when my husband's car finally hit the dust and I was brewing ideas of baby number #3. This buckle release aid was a must have for my then five year old!  He uses it with no problem to unbuckle himself. It's also great for grandparents or anyone with dexterity issues. No more wrestling with tough buckles or crawling behind seats.

It also helped immensely with drop off starting in kindergarten. If you've ever been in those lines then you know, it might be the most stressful three minutes of your day. I worked in an elementary school where actual fights would break out between parents in the drop off line. It is another level.

I know many parents who switch to a booster and seatbelt at this time because they feel they have to. It's the only way their child can get themselves out quickly enough. Well this is your solution!

At the end of the day car seat safety is more important than being quick in a drop off line. Car seats and weights vary but I wanted to keep my child in his car seat for as long as possible because it's well established that a five-point harness is safer. With the buckle release aid we are just as quick as anyone else in the drop off line and I have peace of mind that my children are as safe as they can be in our vehicle.

He's 7 now and still using it! I may have to order a new set soon for my four year old. It would be a dream to only worry about one car seat again! I always check that their belt clips are chest level before driving as well

Obviously you want to have conversations and make sure your child is responsible enough for this but this is the same when you move them to a seat belt.

This is one small thing that has made my life easier for the past two years and especially when baby #3 arrived. Hope it helps you too!
