Have a special almost one year old in your life?! It's such a magical time. Babies move and grow quick and now they are on the verge of toddlerhood! I'm in a ton of mom groups and the same post I see over and over is which gifts to get for a first birthday. I'm here to help!

I try to bring toys into our house that will be used long-term or can be sold or donated after we are done using them. With a 7, 4 and 1 year old and lots of loving family we have our fair share of gifts over the years. I'm an Amazon associate and may make a small commission at no cost to you. Here's our favorites that have stood the test of time:

Push Car

This one is a big hit and all my boys fight over rides. My 7 year old is outgrowing it now but that's pretty impressive for something we got for his first birthday! My 1 year old loves cruising the yard or neighborhood with this 😎

Fisher Price Farm

This is a fan favorite! It makes noise. The doors open and close. The bell rings and little kids love farms and animals!

Grippy Socks

Okay it isn't glamorous and they don't make noise but I am totally that mom that gets kids practical things for their birthdays too. All my boys use these grippy socks since we have wood floors. They are perfect for new walkers! Bonus is they are all the same color so there is zero stress about matching.

Mickey Ride On Toy

I didn't get this one until my last baby but I wish we had it sooner! There's lights, noise and busy toys. All my boys ride on it but my one year old especially likes to ride around by himself, push it along to work on his walking or his favorite activity- putting toys in the seat haha if you buy this and you are missing the remote, check the seat!

Activity Center

No batteries needed! This one is so fun. We all play with it at once and the reading teacher in me loves that it has the full alphabet with corresponding animals. I had no idea there was a bigger version and now I wish we had that one too! That one focuses more on math concepts with numbers and a clock. Check out both of them below.

Montessori Sorting

This set is so much fun. Counting, matching, colors, fine motor skills... the opportunities for fun and learning are endless. There is a farm set or kitties, dogs or zoo animals.

Basketball Hoop

This is another one that's fun for all ages! With it's adjustable height all my boys can take a turn with it but my one year old toddling over and actually making a basket is absolutely priceless.

Bath Toy

These are silicone and so much fun! Baby can stack, scoop, play with the boats and squirting toys and you can rest easy knowing there won't be any mold hiding anywhere. A bonus is the toys won't take up too much space in your bathroom.

Books

Check out my post on our favorite toddler books. I buy a book at every birthday and a first birthday is a perfect opportunity to buy a few!

I hope you found something special for the special one year old in your life!
